“As a tethered bird flies this way and that and comes to rest at last
on its own perch, so the mind, tired of wandering about settles down
in the self." Katha Upanishad

Meditation is an ancient, yet simple, yogic practice that when learned, will give you access to the inner silence and calm that lies beneath the mind’s noisy internal dialogue. The meditation and breathing techniques that you will learn, will enable you to go beyond the mind’s chatter into a place that is not imprisoned by the negativity of life’s past or habitual worries of the future. This simple practice will teach you to calm your anxieties, ground your fears, be present, have patience and transform the way in which you respond to stressful life circumstances. There is growing scientific evidence relating meditation to various psychological and physiological benefits .When your mind changes, your brain changes, forming new connections and activating areas that were previously unused. Meditation Practice is about stripping away that which keeps us functioning our best.

Meditation and breathing techniques are powerful practices that modern scientific research has shown to produce impressive psychological and health benefits. Some of these are:

  • Decreased Cardiovascular risk factors such as hypertension, cholesterol, Diabetes
  • Improved immune function and reduction in common inflammatory conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome, fibromyalgia, and chronic pain
